Job summary

University of California, Irvine is seeking an Administrative Operations Analyst to support the EECS department under the Chair and CAO. The role requires high-level administrative analysis, complex calendaring, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination with students, staff, faculty and external partners.

Responsibilities include coordinating department projects, space/equipment management, procurement, and confidential tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across diverse groups.
  • Experience managing budgets and timelines in a department setting.
  • Proficiency with UC and university administrative systems preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conducts administrative analysis for the department.
  • Coordinate complex calendaring, scheduling and special projects for the Chair.
  • Provide high-level administrative support and internal/external communications.
  • Support CAO and department operations, including space and procurement.
  • Assist with accreditation activities, meetings and reporting.
  • Support budgeting, data retrieval from financial systems, and reporting.
  • Coordinate events and faculty advising sessions; manage confidential tasks.
