Job summary

The Leona Group Schools seeks an Exceptional Student Services Teacher (K-12) to design, coordinate, and execute a suitable curriculum in a supportive learning atmosphere for ESS students to reach their academic potential.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and certification in Mild-Moderate or Moderate/Severe Disabilities K-12, plus knowledge of educational technology and a valid IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Certification in Mild-Moderate Disabilities K-12 or Moderate/Severe Disabilities K-12 is required.
• Knowledge of relevant technology for instruction.
• IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans with clear objectives.
• Instruct and monitor students in use of learning materials and equipment.
• Observe and evaluate students’ performance and provide feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and prepare required reports.
