Job summary

AMS Impact Group seeks an ESS Regional Coordinator to oversee exceptional student services across multiple campuses in Arizona. You will ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations, support IEP development, and coach school staff for high-quality service delivery.

You will travel regularly within the Phoenix metro area and occasional travel to Tucson, reporting to the Director of Exceptional Student Services. This role blends on-site campus support with remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate (Mild/Moderate endorsement preferred).
• Minimum of three (3) years of Special Education teaching experience.
• Experience leading MET/RED and IEP meetings.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Arizona special education laws and regulations.
• Ability to coach and support educators.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of special education programs across campuses.
• Review MET/RED, IEPs and related documentation for compliance.
• Attend evaluation, eligibility, and IEP meetings.
• Provide consultation on procedures, instructional supports, and program implementation.

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state special education regulations, supporting the implementation of high-quality special education services, coaching school-based staff, and partnering with campuses to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.The ideal candidate is an experienced special education professional with a strong understanding of IDEA, Arizona special education regulations, IEP development, compliance monitoring, and collaborative problem-solving.About AMS Impact GroupAMS Impact Group is the management organization supporting Academies of Math and Science (AMS), a network of high-performing public charter schools serving nearly 10,000 students across Arizona and Arkansas.
