Job summary

Delta-T Group Detroit, Inc. seeks an Exceptional Education Paraprofessional to support students in Detroit, MI for the 2026/27 school year. Approximately Monday–Friday, during school hours, with multiple school sites and compensation dependent on experience and skills.

Responsibilities include assisting with materials, supervising during activities, and coordinating with instructional staff. Contractor position with weekly pay and opportunities to grow within a large referral network.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of experience.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleanup, storage and retrieval of supplies and equipment before and after activities.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials, bulletin boards, etc., as requested by staff.
• Escort students to support service rooms (nurse, speech, social worker) when appropriate.
• Supervise students during mainstream activities or class changes.
• Work cooperatively with instructional, support and administrative staff.
• Participate in staff development activities.
• Monitor students to and from the lavatory as appropriate.
• Monitor and/or assist with feeding students during lunch if necessary.
• Implement activities as directed by instructional staff.
• Maintain a neat and clean area for classroom and lunch activities, sanitizing as needed.
• Assist in preparing and implementing classroom activities and small group instruction.
• Monitor students at the end of the day while awaiting bus or taxi.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
