Job summary

Delta-T Group Detroit, Inc. seeks an Exceptional Education Paraprofessional to support students in Detroit, MI for the 2026/27 school year. Approximately Monday–Friday, during school hours, with multiple school sites and compensation dependent on experience and skills.

Responsibilities include assisting with materials, supervising during activities, and coordinating with instructional staff. Contractor position with weekly pay and opportunities to grow within a large referral network.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of experience.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleanup, storage and retrieval of supplies and equipment before and after activities.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials, bulletin boards, etc., as requested by staff.
• Escort students to support service rooms (nurse, speech, social worker) when appropriate.
• Supervise students during mainstream activities or class changes.
• Work cooperatively with instructional, support and administrative staff.
• Participate in staff development activities.
• Monitor students to and from the lavatory as appropriate.
• Monitor and/or assist with feeding students during lunch if necessary.
• Implement activities as directed by instructional staff.
• Maintain a neat and clean area for classroom and lunch activities, sanitizing as needed.
• Assist in preparing and implementing classroom activities and small group instruction.
• Monitor students at the end of the day while awaiting bus or taxi.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.

Our Client is seeking an Exceptional Education Paraprofessionals to provide services in the Detroit, MI area for the 2026/27 school year.

AVAILABLE HOURS & HOURLY RATE

Compensation is dependent on Contractor's experience, education, availability, and skills.

• Monday - Friday (during school hours)
• Multiple Schools Available

Client Essential Functions

• Assist with the cleanup, storing and retrieval of supplies and equipment before and after activities.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials, bulletin boards, etc., as requested by the instructional staff.
• Escort students to support service rooms (i.e., nurse, speech, school social worker) when appropriate.
• During mainstream activities or change in classes; supervise students to and from classes.
• Work cooperatively with instructional, support staff and administrative staff.
• Participate in staff development activities.
• Monitor students to and from the lavatory as appropriate
• During the lunch period, monitor and/or feed students as physical condition dictates.
• Implement the activities as directed by the instructional staff.
• Assist in maintaining a neat and clean area for any and all classroom and lunch activities. When necessary, sanitize by using universal health care procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of classroom activities and/or individual and small group instruction, under the direction/supervision of the instructional staff.
• Responsible for monitoring students at the end of the day while they are awaiting bus or taxicab.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Administrator or designee.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of one (1) year experience
• Pediatric experience (preferred)
