• Develop and implement instructional plans aligned with school-wide curricular goals and IEPs.
• Develop IEPs for students with disabilities; implement and update them based on assessments.
• Provide direct special education instruction to identified students.
• Use varied teaching methods; adapt materials to meet student needs.
• Monitor student behavior; maintain discipline and document incidents.
• Assist disabled students with personal/self-help tasks; communicate progress to parents.
• Serve as case manager; collaborate with care-givers and professionals.
• Maintain student records per NC procedures and laws.
• Uphold fairness and positive relations with students, families and colleagues.
• Follow professional development plans and demonstrate growth.
