Job Title: EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN (EC) DEPARTMENT - Teacher Assistant for Visual Impairments
Salary: $16.45/hr
Benefits: Full benefits including paid holidays, sick leave, annual leave, holiday pay, health insurance, and retirement. Local supplement of 5.5% starts the month after the first year. State longevity after 10 years of service.
Qualifications:
Reports To: Principal and/or assigned classroom teacher.
Job Goal: To provide specialized assistance to visually impaired and blind students, supporting access to learning materials, physical needs, social-emotional support, and other relevant areas during the instructional day.
Performance Responsibilities:
Terms of Employment: Ten-month school year; schedule determined by the Principal; salary per schedule.
Evaluation: Conducted per Board policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
