Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Exceptional Children’s Teacher for the Gastonia, NC area for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on implementing accommodations and interventions aligned with students’ IEPs, collaborating with the School-Based Team and attending IEP meetings.

We offer competitive pay up to $45/hour, W-2 employment with liability insurance, healthcare benefits and a 401(k) with company match, plus licensure/CEU reimbursements and mileage between sites.

Qualifications

• Must have NC DPI license (Exceptional Children) – Permanent Teaching Licensure.
• Must be able to show proof of college transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Work with Special Education/Exceptional Children’s Team to implement accommodations, interventions, etc. according to student IEPs.
• Attend staff meetings, IEP meetings, and coordinate with school teams.

What We're Looking For
