Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years teaching Special Education.
• Experience with writing IEPs and maintaining required paperwork.
• Demonstration of leadership roles.
• Command of IDEA policies and procedures at the federal and state level, including due process procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance of all aspects of the special education process as defined by IDEA.
• Serve as LEA representative as designated by the building administrator; coordinate with staff and supervise EC data manager and EC staff.
• Provide program and instructional support; assist with scheduling, classroom management, and data collection; monitor IEP implementation.
• Facilitate EC teacher/TA PLCs focusing on data and problem solving; provide school-based professional development.
• Transfer compliant files to other buildings upon student transfer or year end; support end-of-year transition meetings.
