Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking an Exceptional Children Teacher for Alamance-Burlington Schools. This full-time position focuses on creating tailored educational experiences for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with their Individual Education Programs (IEPs) while promoting engagement and learning in adaptive environments.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and possess or be eligible for NC certification in Exceptional Children. You will work closely with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams to meet educational goals and support diverse learner needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in special education.
• Experience with students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities.
• Adapt materials and design activities for EC students.
• Monitor student progress and maintain EC records.

Skills

Knowledge of effective instruction and behavioral supports
