Job summary

PURIS is seeking an Operator for Civil, Underground Wet Utilities in Laredo, TX. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, you will conduct trenchless pipe rehabilitation installation safely and efficiently.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to follow procedures, and strong communication. You will set up equipment, assist with liner installation, repair manholes, and ensure site safety throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate good communications and interaction skills.
• Must be accurate, detailed, reliable and able to follow orders on projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must have ability to be proactive and trouble shoot.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of standard field pipe rehabilitation installation procedures.
• Must be able to work in extreme work environments, conditions and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Checks and fuels vehicles and performs light mechanical adjustments and assists mechanic in repairs on assigned equipment.
• Sets up trench jacks and winches; connects hoses and installs liner components as required.
• Distributes notices to residents and businesses as instructed.
• Repairs manholes and fuses pipe; restores and cleans up sites.
• Connects services and sets up equipment for installation tasks.
• Operates inverter, cuts liner and follows all safety SOPs as part of trenchless rehabilitation.
