Aerotek is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for a contract role at a busy Curtis Bay site in Maryland. The job centers on operating excavators to load large volumes of trucks with dirt in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

The position requires 5+ years of excavator experience and familiarity with multiple heavy machines, with a regular schedule from 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM. Pasadena, MD-based contract role with potential extensions.

Formación

• Minimum 5+ years of experience operating excavators to load trucks.
• Proven ability to operate excavators safely and efficiently under high-volume conditions.
• Hands-on experience with excavators, loaders, dozers, and front-end loaders.
• Strong awareness of safety practices related to heavy equipment and truck loading.
• Ability to follow directions, site procedures, and environmental guidelines.
• Reliable work habits with the ability to sustain productivity throughout the workday.

Responsabilidades

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently to load approximately 150-200 trucks per day with dirt.
• Use heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and front-end loaders as needed to support site operations.
• Position and maneuver trucks and equipment to ensure accurate and consistent loading.
• Monitor load volumes and follow site guidelines to avoid overloading or underloading trucks.
• Perform basic equipment checks before and after use to identify and report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Follow all site safety procedures and environmental guidelines while operating heavy equipment.
• Communicate clearly with site supervisors, truck drivers, and team members to coordinate loading activities and meet daily production targets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area around loading zones to support safe and efficient operations.
