Sanford Contractors is seeking a dedicated Excavator Operator for our Grading Operations division. This role focuses on safe, efficient operation of production excavators (e.g., CAT 345/346/349) on site grading and earth-moving projects.

You will perform equipment checks, assist with utility location, unload materials, rig loads safely, and mentor crew members while upholding daily project safety standards. Strong communication and OSHA knowledge are essential.

• Strong attention to detail and dependable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate production excavators for site grading and earth-moving projects.
• Perform daily fluid and equipment checks.
• Assist with utility location, unload materials, rig loads safely.
• Maintain clean equipment and report issues to the Pipe/Grade Foreman.
• Mentor crew members and participate in daily project huddles.
• Practice site safety and recognize hazards.
