Job summary

Flippo Construction Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator in Forestville, MD to support underground utility projects. You will safely operate excavators, perform trenching, backfilling, and site clean-up, while prioritizing safety and productivity. A DC Operator's License and a minimum of two years' experience are required.

You will participate in pre-shift safety talks, assist with maintenance, and work in varied weather conditions. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of prior experience operating an excavator in support of underground utility projects.
• Must possess a current DC Operator's License.
• Must be physically able to perform tasks for a full shift (8 hours) and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator safely in support of underground utility projects.
• Visually check for utilities and verify marked locates.
• Inspect and perform general maintenance on equipment; assist fueling and daily greasing.
• Report breakdowns immediately and take direction from Foreman or designated supervisor.
• Attend safety meetings and work in all weather conditions.
