Job summary

Yates Construction Co. is seeking an Excavator Operator to maneuver heavy, 360-degree excavators for trenching, concrete breaking, material lifting, and grading on construction and mining sites. You will perform pre-operational safety checks, interpret site plans, and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen with a Negative result.
• Eligible to work in the United States
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Driving record must be clean.
• Willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, hot or cold

Responsibilities

• Site preparation: Clear land, excavate, and grade soil per blueprints and specs.
• Operate the excavator to dig trenches, foundations, and holes, and load debris into trucks.
• Perform daily safety inspections and maintain equipment fluids, joints, and tracks.
• Use attachments such as hammers, breakers, and grapples.
• Work around utilities and assist in installing pipes and water lines.
• Coordinate with ground personnel and project managers to ensure accurate digging and safety compliance
