Job summary

Flatiron Dragados in Virginia Beach seeks a heavy equipment operator for road and structure construction projects. You will drive and control heavy machinery, perform basic repairs, and coordinate with crew using signals to ensure smooth workflow.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and experience with construction equipment. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and an employee-focused work environment in a project office setting.

Responsibilities

• Drive, maneuver, or control the heavy machinery used to construct roads and other structures.
• Cleans and maintains equipment, making basic repairs as necessary.
• Moves levers, pushes pedals, or turns valves to control equipment and drives equipment.
• Coordinates machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals.
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan; performs other assignments per management’s direction.
