Role Overview: Excavator Operator

As an Excavator Operator at UIG, your primary responsibility is to operate an excavator efficiently and safely on construction sites. You will be involved in the construction, maintenance, and repair of highway, heavy civil, and building structures. You will also assist with various duties around the job site as needed.

Typical Duties include but are not limited to:

• Operate an excavator for tasks such as digging, excavating, and transporting materials like dirt, rocks, and other aggregates.
• Follow operating procedures for loading and unloading materials.
• Perform maintenance on equipment, including oiling, greasing, and safety checks.
• Complete paperwork and documentation as required.
• Assist with other related duties as needed, such as setting up or inspecting equipment, understanding digging plans, observing safety signals, and moving materials around the site.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

• 3-5 Years Operating Experience Preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to follow safety policies and communicate effectively with team members
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods
• Experience with Heavy Equipment operation
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools
• Ability to follow policies supporting UIG's mission

Minimum Requirements:

• 18 years of Age
• Able to pass a Drug Test
• Legally Eligible to Work in the US
• Open to working different shifts as needed
• Reliable transportation to the job site (driver's license preferred)
• Own hand tools (excluding power tools)
• Willing to travel for project requirements (multi-state opportunities)
