Job summary

Turner Mining Group seeks an Excavator Operator to join our Charlotte, NC team, working on projects within a 2 hour radius of Yadkinville, NC. You will operate excavators and follow grade stakes using GPS guidance.

You will communicate professionally with supervisors, maintain equipment, and complete required trainings. The role requires 18+, the ability to pass drug and background checks, and outdoor work in varying weather.

Qualifications

We are actively seeking a Excavator Operator to work with us in the Charlotte, NC area. Our client works on projects usually within a 2 hour radius of Yadkinville, NC.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Communicate professionally with supervisors and teammates
• Understand, interpret, and follow goals and directions from foreman or superintendent.
• Maintain cleanliness of all equipment.
• Attend work regularly during assigned work hours or any other schedule as required.
• Willingness to work overtime or on Saturdays as needed.
• Participate in necessary training sessions.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with other tasks as needed, including supporting other roles on the crew.

Experience & Requirements:

• At least two years of experience operating excavators
• GPS System experience required
• Ability to read and understand grade stakes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with supervisors and teammates.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands:

• Able to stand/sit for extended periods, as well as stoop, kneel, walk, bend, crouch, lift, and crawl.
• Able to climb on and off equipment safely.
• Able to lift 40-80 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Able to use hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting and carrying of materials.
