Mr. Holland’s Home Services, a Clarion Home Services Group brand, is seeking an Excavation Helper for on-site and field work in Jackson, WI.

This full-time role supports operators and tradespeople, with daily travel to local job sites and a flexible schedule up to 40 hours weekly. Qualifications

• Experience with machine operation (excavator, backhoe, or skid steer) is a plus.
• Licensing: Sewer Layer License preferred; A valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Assist equipment operators, excavation managers, and skilled tradespeople to keep projects on schedule.
• Prepare, load, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment for transport to various worksites.
• Use pipe and grade lasers to assist in precise excavation.
• Operate small power tools and hand tools for construction tasks.
• Set up and dismantle ladders, safety barriers, and temporary structures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site.
• Participate in on-the-job training to expand plumbing and excavation skills.

Job Title: Excavation Helper

Work Location: Jackson, WI and surrounding area

Work Arrangement: On-site and field-based

Employment Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday through Friday; daily hours vary based on active business demands. This is a variable full-time role up to 40 hours per week, with weekly hours fluctuating alongside seasonal business needs and project volume. To meet shifting operational deadlines, occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required.

Travel: Daily travel to residential/commercial job sites throughout the local branch’s service region.

• Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience

What You'll Do:

• Assist equipment operators, excavation managers, and skilled tradespeople to ensure projects stay on schedule.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free job site by securing tools and equipment daily.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training to expand your skills in plumbing and excavation.

What You Bring:

• Experience:Previous experience with machine operation (excavator, backhoe, or skid steer) is a plus.
• Licensing: Sewer Layer License is preferred; A valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Attitude: A self‑motivated attitude with a desire to learn the trade and grow within the company.
• Skills: A commitment to understanding and adhering to all company safety requirements.
• Compliance: Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for long periods throughout the day.
• The job requires regularly lifting and carrying heavy items, which can weigh up to 75 pounds or more.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. May work in extreme temperatures, including heat, cold, and humidity.

Compensation:

• Base Pay Range: : $16.00-20.00 per hour
• Range Basis: Within this range, an individual's starting pay is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, qualifications, professional experience, and internal equity across our organization.
• Other Compensation: Overtime eligibility. See benefits listed above.
• Overtime Classification: Hourly, non-exempt.
