LaRiviere, Inc. is seeking a skilled foreman and heavy equipment operator for heavy civil work in the Moscow / Lewiston area. This field position involves working at various job sites across central Idaho, collaborating directly with the superintendent to manage daily construction operations. The role offers excellent growth and training opportunities.

Primary Job Functions:

• Plan workflow for efficient resource utilization.
• Assist in scheduling manpower and equipment.
• Oversee safety compliance, collaborating with the safety director.
• Train personnel on safe work practices.
• Operate construction heavy equipment (e.g., excavator, skid-steer, bulldozer, backhoe, loader, grader, haul truck) proficiently and safely in all conditions.
• Perform physical activities such as bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance), pushing, pulling, grasping, and fine manipulation. Assist with manual labor as needed.
• Work safely around moving machinery, in various weather conditions, and in environments with dust, fumes, and gases. Duties may vary based on weather and season.

Reports to: Superintendent

Qualifications and Expectations:

• At least 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in heavy civil construction.
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Strong work ethic and punctuality.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to read construction plans.
• Represent management professionally with clients, subcontractors, and authorities.

Work hours depend on project needs, with overtime likely.

Daily Duties:

1. Arrive 15-20 minutes before shift starts.
2. Conduct safety walk-around and complete equipment checklists.
3. Participate in safety meetings.
4. Work effectively in a team environment.
5. Assist with operator and labor tasks as needed.
6. Report safety concerns immediately.
7. Accurately record hours and duties on timecards.
8. Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping of equipment.
9. Complete daily reports and log time and equipment usage in the Bid2Win system.
