Construction Foreman – Excavation & Site Work (PIPEWORK EXPERIENCE A MUST)

Location:West Jordan, UT
Pay:$30–$36/hr DOE + performance bonuses
Schedule:Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays

Overview:
Woodward Co. is hiring an experiencedConstruction Foremanto lead excavation, grading, utility, and site prep projects across Utah’s Wasatch Front. You’ll be responsible for managing crew performance, reading plans, operating equipment, and keeping jobs on schedule and on spec.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead a 2–6 person field crew through all stages of excavation and site work
  • 2+ years of underground utility experience, including mainline
  • Read and interpret site plans, grades, and cut/fill schedules
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozersand other heavy equipment
  • Coordinate inspections, materials, and change orders with ownership and GCs
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
  • Track labor, production, and materials daily

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in excavation, utilities, or civil construction
  • 2+ years or heavy equipment operation experience, i.e. excavators, dozers, graders, etc.
  • Ability to run crews independently with minimal supervision
  • Competence in operating tools & equipment such as laser and GPS systems
  • Competence in setting up layouts from plans
  • Strong communication skills (field to office and with clients)
  • Technology-minded (knows and wants to learn about technology in construction)
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL or willingness to obtain is a plus)
