Job summary

A to Z Dependable Services in Niles, OH is seeking an Excavation Crew Leader to supervise residential sewer and water line projects, operate heavy equipment, and ensure work is completed safely and to code.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with underground sewer and water installations, be comfortable operating excavators and skid steers, and possess leadership skills to manage projects from start to finish. CDL is a plus and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in underground sewer and water installation.
• Crew lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience operating excavators, skid steers, and related equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus).
• Ability to read utility locates and job specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise excavation crews on residential sewer and water line projects.
• Perform and oversee underground sewer and water service installations and replacements.
• Operate excavators, skid steers, and other job-site equipment safely and efficiently.
• Tow and transport small machinery and equipment to and from job sites.
• Coordinate daily job activities to ensure projects are completed on time and to company standards.
• Read and understand utility locates and project requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with local regulations.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners, team members, and management.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles.
• Complete job documentation as required.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus)
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
