Job summary

The Association of Social Work Boards seeks an Examination Development Program Manager to lead end-to-end examination development and supervise staff, ensuring quality and security across workflows. This role requires collaboration with the Director of Examination Development and cross-functional teams.

Hybrid position; preferred candidates reside within commuting distance of the office and can attend in-person meetings two days a week.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work is required.
• ,
• Active social work license in good standing is required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing staff.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing projects, programs, or operations.
• Prior exam-related experience preferred.
• Experience editing or proofreading technical or examination content is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end examination development workflows.
• Oversee staff performance, coaching, and development.
• Coordinate with exam vendors and ensure workflow efficiency.
• Monitor examination security protocols across office operations.
• Lead project management for examination development initiatives and milestones.
• Coordinate onsite and virtual examination development meetings and materials.
• Supervise volunteer engagement and continuing education credit distribution.
• Oversee content development, item banks, and form review processes.
• Communicate with candidates, members, and stakeholders; prepare reports and presentations.
• Participate in evaluation of processes and program performance and recommend improvements.
