Job summary

The City of Coppell is seeking an Organizational Effectiveness Coordinator to coordinate employee experiences, support Belonging initiatives, and advance One Coppell—our community-wide effort to strengthen connection, understanding, and engagement.

From planning events and coordinating strategic initiatives to analyzing data and improving processes, your work will create meaningful experiences that strengthen our culture and help Coppell be a place people want to work, serve, and belong.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated working experience coordinating projects, events, programs, or organizational initiatives requiring planning, communication, data management, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting employee engagement, organizational development, learning and development, human resources, or organizational culture initiatives is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employee experiences and Belonging initiatives to strengthen One Coppell.
  • Plan engaging events and coordinate strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze data and improve processes to enhance the employee experience.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across departments to drive culture initiatives.

Schedule Commitment

This is a Flexible Part-Time (F-PT) position. The typical work schedule averages up to 20 hours per week and is generally performed Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Work schedules are flexible based on departmental and organizational needs and may include occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support training, facilitation, meetings, employee engagement activities, or other City events.

Pay Plan

This opportunity is non-exempt and on Pay Grade #8. The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade. Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.

Hiring Rate:

  • Min: $22.17
  • Mid: $27.15
  • Max: $32.15

Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated working experience coordinating projects, events, programs, or organizational initiatives requiring planning, communication, data management, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of organizational development, employee experience, public administration, or change management principles.
  • Familiarity with human resources practices, policies, and terminology.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, project management software, and virtual collaboration platforms.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Research, data collection, and analytical skills with the ability to summarize and communicate findings.
  • Strong facilitation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills.

Abilities

  • Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across departments and organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and anticipate organizational needs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with professionalism and integrity.
