Carter Lumber Company in Millville, NJ is seeking an EWP Sawyer responsible for cutting i-joists to specifications to ensure a quality product is produced. The role operates with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and supports team goals.

Responsibilities include gathering materials, reading cut sheets, setting up saws, maintaining inventory and equipment servicing schedules while adhering to safety procedures.

Competenze

• Knowledge and expertise in the use of a variety of tools; including light chainsaw maintenance
• Knowledge of safety procedures while handling saws and other tools
• Possess manual dexterity and the ability to do repetitious work
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and verbal instruction
• Must be able to work at a fast pace
• Ability to work in inclement weather
• Ability to work in a team environment

Mansioni

• Sawing: Responsible for gathering materials needed to perform job according to requirements.
• Reads cut sheets to determine the amount, size and grade of material that needs cut.
• Sets up machines properly to ensure accuracy of cuts are made.
• Ensures a quality product is produced. Maintains inventory by providing an accurate count of products.
• Manages an equipment servicing schedule. Meets daily, weekly and team related production goals.
• Safety: Adheres to safety requirements by operating equipment and handling material in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Acknowledges and reports any defects or safety issues to supervisor immediately
