EWP Design Manager $70K/YR and Up (Non-Remote)

Overview

Manage, measure, and monitor the EWP design capacities needed to support the sales and production needs of an 84 Lumber EWP program. Provide the systems, processes, and personnel required to ensure that designs are accurate and efficient. Designs should meet or exceed all 84 Lumber EWP design standards, builder specifications, and design turnaround expectations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with sales, management, and production personnel on the status of design schedule commitments.
• Manage equipment, systems, and processes needed to facilitate EWP design and production.
• Assess and manage the training and development of new and existing design associates. Provide regular design reviews.
• Develop and manage a system to measure the productivity of each designer.
• Consult with senior EWP management regarding evolving production expectations for designers at different experience levels.
• Manage version control of design software.
• Handle miscellaneous projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Experience with manufacturing, design, optimization, and automated saw software.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business reports, technical procedures, and regulations.
• Effective communication skills for presenting information to managers, clients, and the public.
