Job summary

The Queen Baton Rouge in Dover, DE is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services/ janitorial supervisor to lead onsite housekeeping teams. The role emphasizes hands-on cleaning duties, staff supervision, and adherence to union and safety standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining guest areas, restroom upkeep, trash removal, and ensuring policy compliance while delivering quality service. Weekend, holiday, and night shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School or better.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Union membership requirements where applicable (IUOE).
• Previous janitorial/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to lead, direct and organize other people.

Responsibilities

• Ensures department adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of all promotions and events.
• Men's & women's restrooms cleaned and maintained.
• Empty all trash in restrooms as well as on the casino floor, front lobby areas, and back of the house.
• Associate Dinning Room maintained.
• Faces, sides, tops and bases of machines wiped clean.
• Floor clean of clutter.
• Vacuum where designated.
• Supervise staff members on your shift.
• Work hands on with staff to ensure all cleaning duties and procedures, company policies, rules and regulations, and Jumer's standards of cleanliness are enforced.
• Help handle any problem situations with both employees and guests.
• Answer radio calls and communicate professionally.

• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled
• Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods of timeOccasionally required to work at heights above 10 feet high
• Frequently required to lift items up to 30 pounds
• Occasionally required to push or move items up to 100 lbs
• Frequently required to reach overhead
