Job summary

Bally’s Corporation is hiring for a housekeeping associate in Dover, DE. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service while performing thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, surfaces and gaming areas.

You will greet guests, handle trash, restock closets, and assist with daily maintenance tasks. The position requires a High School diploma, English proficiency, reliability, and the ability to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enhance guest experience by delivering exceptional service.
• Clean floors, surfaces and restrooms; perform spot cleaning.
• Monitor and empty ash/trash containers; remove trash.
• Clean ashtrays and glass surfaces; maintain cleanliness.
• Restock and organize storage areas daily.
• Clean slot bases/machines and arrange seating as needed.
• Greet guests and assist with inquiries.
• Use cleaning chemicals and safety equipment as trained.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor promptly.
• Complete daily cleaning projects and tasks.
• Secure lost‑and‑found items and maintain records.
• Maintain knowledge of the property and operations.
• Contribute to cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
• Train new employees as needed.
• Represent Bally’s Hotel and Casino positively to guests and staff.
• Follow department policies and recycling standards.
• Comply with safety rules and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Enhances the guest experience by providing exceptional service.
• Cleans floors (vacuum, mop, shampoo); spot cleaning as necessary
• Monitors ash/trash containers, cleaning and removing trash as necessary
• Cleans ashtrays
• Cleans glass surfaces
• Cleans restrooms
• Cleans slot bases/machines; pushes in slot chairs
• Greets 7 interacts with guests when appropriate
• Uses cleaning chemicals as instructed
• Uses safety equipment as required
• Communicates all maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Executes daily cleaning projects.
• Collects/secures lost‑and‑found articles.
• Restocks storage closets daily.
• Trains new employees as needed.
• Establishes and maintains close working relationships with all Dover Downs employees to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
• Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.
• Represents Bally’s Hotel and Casino in the most positive manner with guests, co‑workers, managers, and vendors.
• Control inventory of supplies.
• Maintains knowledge of the property.
• Makes suggestions for improvements in overall operations with emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, as well as reducing costs.
• Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations.
• Communicates effectively with co‑workers, supervisors and guests.
• Follows all relevant policies and procedures.
• Complies with the company’s recycling program standards.
• Provides exceptional customer service
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

• Union Representation: This position is represented by Unite Here and is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled

Starting Compensation

• $16.50/hr
