Job summary

Baptist Health in Corbin, KY is seeking an EVS Worker I to maintain a clean, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing clinical environment. This PRN, 2nd shift position supports responsive cleaning across patient areas and non-clinical spaces, with interaction with patients, visitors and staff.

The EVS Technician I contributes to infection prevention and timely room turns, ensuring a safe environment and positive patient experience as part of our dedicated Environmental Services team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Environmental Services, customer service, or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, and meeting rooms.
• Maintain timely room turnover to support patient throughput and infection prevention.
• Contribute to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention, and patient experience as part of Environmental Services.

The Environmental Services Department plays a vital role in ensuring that the hospitalremainsclean and safe for patients, staff, and visitors.As a member of this team, the main dutieswill be to clean and sanitize all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, and meeting rooms.

The Environmental Services Technician Iis responsible forexecuting the daily duties required toestablishandmaintaina safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. While executing the assignedtasks, the EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff.Contact mayinclude physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should beappropriate tothe specificdemographics of patients served in assigned service areas. Responsible for ensuringtimelyroom turnsrelated to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention.The environmental services technician,in accordance withorganizational standards of quality, is anessential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infectionpreventionand patient experience.
