Baptist Health in Corbin, KY is seeking an Environmental Services Technician I (EVS Tech I) on a PRN basis for the 2nd shift to maintain a safe, clean hospital environment in the BHCOR Environmental Services area.

The EVS Tech performs daily duties to clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, waiting areas and meeting rooms, and collaborates with patients, visitors and staff to support infection prevention.

Qualifications

EVS Worker I, Environmental Services – PRN, 2nd Shift.

Location: BHCOR-Environmental Services, I Corbin, KY.

Job Description

The Environmental Services Department plays a vital role in ensuring that the hospital remains clean and safe for patients, staff, and visitors. As a member of this team, the main duties include cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, and meeting rooms.

The Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. While executing the assigned tasks, the EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. The technician is responsible for ensuring timely room turns related to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. The environmental services technician, in accordance with organizational standards of quality, is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention, and patient experience.
