Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EVSTech) for per diem night shifts at St. JosephMedical Center-Kansas City, KS.

The EVSTech cleans and disinfects patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infections, handles waste disposal, restocks supplies, and maintains floors and surfaces. The role requires 1 year of acute care ES experience preferred, a high school diploma, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care environmental service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infections
• Properly dispose of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs and communicate via phone or radios
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and travel between facilities as needed
