U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Housekeeping Aid-EVS Technician at the Walla Walla VA Medical Center.

The role covers janitorial and custodial duties across patient and non-patient areas, using hand tools and powered equipment to maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the facility. Typical duties include floor care, waste removal, restocking supplies, bed-making, and moving or organizing furniture to complete cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping in patient and non-patient areas.
• Ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment safely.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and travel between buildings.
• Ability to work various tours and shifts.
• Adherence to safety and infection control practices.

Responsabilités

• Perform full range of housekeeping in patient and non-patient areas.
• Work independently or with a team to clean assigned areas.
• Conduct floor maintenance, wall washing, and door/baseboard cleaning.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, buff, vacuum, and extract carpets.
• Handle waste, restock supplies, and move furnishings as needed.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment; ensure rooms meet standards.
