Job summary

Harris Health in Houston, TX seeks an Environmental Services Assistant to perform cleaning and maintenance across facilities. You will support management and colleagues, handle multiple tasks, and oversee assigned areas under supervision. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required; overtime may be needed.

Prior housekeeping experience is a plus; you will work with a team to maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience in hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping.
• Six months of recent hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Assists in all activities of the Environmental Services department. Willing to work with management and co-workers by engaging in cleaning and/or maintaining all areas of Harris Health facilities. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple tasks and assignments. Will oversee and take responsibility for assigned area (s). Direct report to Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

School Education

High School diploma or GED; (OR) six months of recent hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience in lieu of high school diploma/GED

Six months of recent hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience preferred
