Job summary

Harris Health is seeking an Environmental Services team member to support floor care maintenance across our facilities. You will follow routine schedules and respond to management requests for special cleaning tasks, while ensuring safe operation of floor care equipment.

Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining areas within Harris Health System facilities, working alone or in teams, and complying with safety standards while supporting weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; or six months recent hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience.
• Three years of hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience with at least one year of hard floor maintenance and restoration of commercial floor care.
• Heavy equipment operation experience including high-speed and low-speed machines, walk-behind and riding scrubbers, burnishers, extractors and wet vacuums.
• Must be able to operate floor care equipment safely and with minimal supervision.

This position requires the ability to operate equipment safely, ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors, and personal responsibility for your safety. Work assignments may be completed individually or in a team setting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: High School diploma or GED preferred; or six months recent hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience in lieu of a high school diploma/GED.
• Work Experience: Three years of hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience with at least one year of hard floor maintenance and restoration of commercial floor care.
• Management Experience: None
• Equipment Operated: Heavy equipment to include high‑speed and low‑speed machines, walk‑behind and riding scrubbers, burnishers, extractors, and wet vacuums.
