Job summary

OSF HealthCare is looking for an EVS Tech I to support hospital operations with disinfection, cleaning, and environmental services. You will help maintain a clean, organized environment for staff and visitors and respond to daily workflow adjustments to meet discharge flow needs.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of janitorial or housekeeping experience, plus CNACC/CHEST certifications if available.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The EVS Tech I, in accordance with standards of quality, is an essential contributor to promoting a healthy workplace through disinfection and infection prevention. The EVS Tech I is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, while ensuring an organized and disinfected environment for employees and visitors. This role is also responsible for ensuring timely room cleans, especially as it relates to hospital patient throughput and responds favorably to requests to adjust daily workflow or area assignment to meet hospital/discharge flow needs.
