Job summary

Prime Healthcare at Pampa Regional Medical Center in Pampa, TX is seeking a Per Diem Environmental Services Technician. The role covers cleaning, disinfection, waste disposal, and restocking supplies across patient rooms, ORs, and common areas.

Hours are variable and per diem in nature. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent and up to one year of acute care hospital environmental service experience with strong reading and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections.
• Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols.
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals.
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently.
