Pacific Building Services is seeking an EVS Technician to maintain clean, safe healthcare environments in Silverdale and surrounding facilities. You will disinfect designated areas, prevent cross-contamination, stock supplies, and follow hospital-grade disinfection standards to protect patients and staff.

Role requires attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work night shifts. Prior healthcare cleaning experience is preferred, with commitment to infection control and PPE

Responsibilities

• Disinfecting and cleaning in designated areas to remove bio-burden.

• Maintain policies, protect patient information, and update knowledge via training.
• Restock supplies, inventory control, and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Properly clean floors, bathrooms, break rooms, and windowsills.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and follow dilution/dwell-time guidelines.

It also keeps the building maintenance dollars in the Northwest, which in turn supports the tenants of the buildings we serve.We currently have open EVS Tech positions in Silverdale (St Michael's):Shift 2 (4pm - 12:30am)Shift 3 (12:00am - 8:30am)Pacific Building Services is looking for thorough EVS tech with excellent cleanliness standards to attend all areas of our facilities. The goal is to enhance customer experience by keeping our facilities in clean and orderly condition.As an EVS tech, your job is vital in the efforts to prevent the spread of potentially infectious microorganisms and eliminating healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) through detailed decontaminating methods and procedures. Our objective is to ensure that each healthcare facility is decontaminated utilizing the proper hospital-grade disinfectants, equipment and cleaning practices in concordance with the standards and recommendations set by both State and Federal agencies such as: the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN), the Center for Disease Control (CDC).EVS Job Duties/Responsibilities:Disinfecting and cleaning in designated areas to remove all possible bio-burden (sterile core: OR, invasive Procedure Rooms)Eliminate cross contamination while properly cleaning and disinfecting PACU, patient care areasUnderstanding a target zero environment in all our accountsMaintains work operations by following policies and proceduresProtects organizations value by keeping patient information confidentialAdhere to mediclean standards, healthcare environment policies and procedures, federal state and local requirementsUpdating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in continued education credits and maintaining certificationsEnhances Hospital’s EVS department and healthcare reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to your job and the efforts to prevent HAIsAdditional Duties:Properly clean carpeted and hard floor surfaces where requiredClean and sanitize bathrooms, showers and locker rooms; including fixtures and furnitureClean break rooms, including sinks, counter tops, microwaves, refrigerator, table and chairsRestock supplies throughout facilityInventory control and management of all paper supplies throughout facilityEmpty recyclables and trash to designated areas and replace linersCarefully dust and cleaning office desks and furnitureClean windowsills and ledgesMaintain all janitor closets in a clean, safe, organized mannerMaintain and operate all cleaning equipment in a safe, clean and operable conditionProper use and understanding of dilution controls and dwell timesProper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required at all times to ensure safety and prevention of cross contamination BBP effortsNotify supervisor of any items needing repair, or replacement; or of any incidents that occurOther duties as assignedEVS Required Job Skills/Qualifications:Strong attention to detailMust be safety cautiousMust be dedicated to the job and work until finishedMust be self motivated and a quick leanerMust be able to think on your feet and outside the boxHave a drive and compassion to safe livesMust be 18 years oldMust have flexibility to adjust to the needs of the hospitalMust have access to email daily and a cell phone for proper and reliable communication when neededPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
