Advanced Building Maintenance Inc in Portland, OR is seeking an EVS Aide to maintain hospital cleanliness and safety for patients, staff and visitors. You will perform cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, common areas, offices and more.

Responsibilities include disposing waste, disinfecting surfaces, restocking supplies, operating vacuums and floor buffers, and responding to service requests while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping services preferred, especially in a healthcare or hospital setting.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, disinfection procedures, and handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleaning standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Empty trash and biomedical waste containers and ensure proper disposal.

• Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and steam cleaners.
• Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services, ensuring a timely and effective resolution.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Environmental Services Director.
• Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc. team.
