Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Supervisor Environmental Services to lead the EVS team in assigned hospital areas, oversee daily operations, staffing, scheduling and budget compliance. The role includes coaching, training, and implementing policies to ensure safe, clean, and patient-centered environments.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, two years of hospital EVS experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; in lieu of degree, four additional years of experience accepted.
• Two years hospital Environmental Services experience preferred.
• Licenses: Driver License (Texas); DOT Hazmat certification; BLS preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, and communicate across departments; strong customer service focus.

• Direct and supervise EVS staff and daily operations in assigned hospital areas.
• Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, and budget compliance.
• Participate in policy development and implementation for safe, efficient operations.
• Lead performance improvement activities and support department management.
