Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Representative to maintain environmental and infection control standards across hospital areas. You will perform general cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and attractive environment for patients, guests, and staff in line with department policies.

The role is non-exempt, with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and timely completion of tasks to support hospital operations and patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Interact positively with patients, family and staff and maintain professional conduct.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to meet environmental and infection control standards.
• Respond promptly to requests and assist visitors and staff to create a healing environment.
• Follow department policies and safety rules, including use of housekeeping chemicals.
