Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA seeks a Supervisor of Environmental Services (EVS) to lead a high-performing team and ensure a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role oversees scheduling, training, evaluations, and adherence to safety standards.

The successful candidate will manage night shift operations (10:30 pm–7:00 am) with weekend/holiday coverage as needed and promote continuous improvement in service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising EVS staff in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in hiring, orientation, training, and performance evaluations.
• Knowledge of OSHA, Joint Commission, and health department regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily operations of Environmental Services staff and workflow.
• Verifies daily assignments are performed thoroughly and effectively.
• Conducts performance evaluations and sets goals for staff.
