Job summary

Turfway Park Racing & Gaming in Florence, KY is seeking an EVS Supervisor to lead the Environmental Services team and maintain the facility to Churchill Downs brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient use of departmental resources.
• Assist with hiring, training, development, and management of staff.
• Review EVS activities to gauge staffing and quality of guest service and profitability.
• Interpret company policies and enforce safety regulations.
• Evaluate and coach staff regarding performance and development.
• Coordinate activities with other department supervisors for cleaning and event support.
• Direct and ensure cleanliness/sanitation in Front of House and Back of House.
• Inspect the environment to meet minimum best practices.
• Ensure OSHA/Hazcom compliance, including MSDS maintenance.
• Review guest complaints and take action.
• Plan and conduct team meetings; disseminate pertinent information.
• Ensure machinery is operated per instructions and cleaned/serviced.
• Deliver internal and external guest service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The EVS Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the facility including all aspects of the Environmental Services (EVS) team to ensure that the company brand standards is met.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient use of departmental resources.
• Assists with the hiring, training, development, and efficient management of the staff.
• Reviews activities in EVS to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions and other matters which influence quality guest service and profitability.
• Interpret company policies to Team Members and enforce safety regulations.
• Evaluates and coaches Team Members in regards to performance and professional development.
• Communicate with other department supervisors to coordinate activities for cleaning and event support.
• Directs and ensures the cleanliness and sanitation in both the Front of House and Back of House areas
• Inspect the environment within the organization to ensure it meets the minimum best practice throughout the organization.
• Ensures operation is OSHA and Hazcom compliant, including maintenance of departmental MSD Sheets.
• Reviews guest complaints/concerns and takes appropriate action.
• Plans and conducts team member meetings. Attends other related meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.
• Ensures all machinery is operated in accordance with manufacturers operating instructions and properly cleaned at the end of the day/shift and is serviced periodically
• Delivers internal and external guest service
• Performs other duties as assigned by management

Education And Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years related experience as a Supervisor, preferably in the entertainment or hospitality industry and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work as part of team and help build and maintain a strong team environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Obtain a KY Racing license.
