WinnaVegas Casino Resort is hiring a custodian to maintain casino floors and grounds in a clean, attractive condition. Responsibilities include sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, restocking supplies, and assisting the shampoo/scrub crew as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to obtain a gaming license. Bi-cultural and Native American preference may apply, with a smoky-environment workplace.

Responsibilities

• Sanitizes and cleans restrooms and regularly stocks supplies.
• Adheres to cleaning methods and safety procedures, including chemical use and lifting.
• Maintains a positive, professional demeanor with guests and associates.
• Follows casino and department policies and procedures.
• Performs shampoo or scrub crew duties as needed.
• Attends meetings and training as directed by management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs essential cleaning functions and properly maintains all areas of the casino and grounds in an attractive and orderly manner.

JOB DUTIES:

• Performs routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, washing windows/walls/brass/waste receptacles, trash collection, sidewalk snow removal/de-ice, etc.


• Responsible for properly sanitizing and cleaning restrooms, and regularly stocking with supplies.


• Must adhere to proper methods for cleaning and safety procedures; which includes chemical use, blood borne pathogens, and lifting/moving heavy objects/furniture.


• Always perform duties in a positive and professional manner, and be friendly and courteous to guests and associates.


• Must adhere to all policies and procedures of the casino and department.


• Perform duties of the shampoo crew and/or scrub crew as needed.


• Must attend all meetings and/or training as directed by management.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or GED required.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT1.

• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds, frequently above waist height.


• Must be in good physical condition.


• Must be able to withstand a smoky environment for extended periods of time, with direct exposure to secondhand smoke.
