Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift EVS Assistant Director in Lansing, MI to lead the EVS department, ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, and coordinate scheduling within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, staff development, and cross‑department collaboration to maintain sanitary, attractive facilities. Responsibilities include developing standards, training, managing personnel, reporting progress, and driving improvements in EVS technology and efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establish and annually review EVS standards and procedures.
• Plan work schedules, interview and hire EVS staff as needed.
• Inspect facility and coordinate repairs and furnishings.
• Provide monthly progress reports and staff education plans.
• Supervise relocation of furnishings and space to improve sanitation.
• Report unsafe conditions and drive EVS technology improvements.
• Coordinate cross-department EVS activities and committees.
• Schedule major projects with staffing and supplies.
• Inventory EVS supplies and manage costs within budget.

Four year college degree or equivalent work experience

High school diploma, GED or Equivalent Required

Two to four years supervisory experience in EVS or service-related field
