Job summary

Xanitos, Inc. seeks a 3rd shift EVS Assistant Director to oversee the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center EVS department. You will supervise and train staff, set standards, and coordinate with client contacts while managing budget constraints.

Qualifications

• COVID-19 vaccination required as a condition of employment unless exemptions apply.
• Healthcare EVS experience at equal or higher level with high customer contact.
• EVS floorcare and linen experience required.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English highly desired.
• Union and training experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
• Ability to multitask and set priorities.
• Knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
• Progressive growth in healthcare EVS facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and annually review EVS standards and work procedures.
• Plan work schedules, interview and hire EVS personnel per policy.
• Inspect facility and coordinate repairs and furnishings.
• Provide monthly progress reports on goals and training.
• Supervise relocation and storage of furnishings and equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions and improve EVS technology.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and committees.
• Schedule major projects with adequate staffing and supplies.
• Maintain EVS supply inventory and control costs.
