Baptist Health in Lexington, VA is seeking an Environmental Services Operations Office Coordinator to join our team. This full-time role supports administrative functions, scheduling, payroll, work orders, and bed board management while ensuring a clean and safe hospital environment.
You will coordinate EVS operations, onboarding communications, meetings, and hospital-wide communication, collaborating with EVS leadership, nursing, and other departments to improve patient care and safety.

The Environmental Services Department plays a vital role in ensuring that the hospitalremainsclean and safe for patients, staff, and visitors.As a member of this team, the main dutieswill be to clean and sanitize all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, and meeting rooms.
The Environmental Services (EVS) Operations Coordinatorserves as the department’scentral pointof contact for administrative support, communication, work order coordination, bed board managementassistance, and operational follow-up. This role prioritizes tasks based on departmental needs while providing courteous, professional customer service through phone, email, and messaging systems.
Coordinate administrative functions including scheduling, payroll/timekeeping, invoicing, work orders, and bed board management.
Support daily EVS operations, including shift coordination, bed throughput, linen distribution, and operational assignments.
Manage onboarding communications and provide administrative support through phone, email, and messaging systems.
Schedule and coordinate departmental meetings, events, and team communications.
Monitor linen inventory, place orders, and ensure patient care areasremainadequately stocked.
Maintain department records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Conduct quality audits,identifydeficiencies, and support corrective actions.
Collaborate with EVS leadership, nursing, and other departments to support efficient operations and patient care.
Participate in huddles, committees, and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, quality, and team engagement.
Support regulatory surveys and audits by ensuring departmental compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
High School/GED
1 year ofexperience
Additionalexperience above minimum job-related experience listed above be substituted for degree:
2+ years of customer service,
1-2 years of sales,
1-2 years in a similar administrative assistant role experience
Sales or Administrative experience preferred
