Job summary

Adams County is seeking a Custodial / EVS Lead Technician to supervise day-to-day custodial operations, train staff, and coordinate with vendors across County facilities. The role works with the EVS/Custodial Supervisor to maintain clean, safe environments while managing schedules, inventory, and budgets.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, bilingual communication (English/Spanish desirable), and solid custodial experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of general custodial experience.
• Two years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; floor maintenance training desirable.
• Must have a valid CO Driver license; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily custodial and floor care operations across facilities.
• Provide hands-on custodial duties such as restrooms and trash removal.
• Mentor custodial staff on procedures, safety, and equipment use.
• Coordinate staffing and absences to maintain operations.
• Communicate with EVS supervisor and vendors; schedule updates.
• Manage budgets related to janitorial contracts and supplies.
• Order, track, and distribute supplies and equipment.
• Assist with emergency response and after-hours support.
• Represent EVS/Custodial in meetings and planning.
