The role requires supervising EVS staff, ensuring adherence to standards, training program development, and coordination of supplies and daily operations. Weekend and night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise team members in the EVS Department.
• Ensure EVS Attendants are performing duties as instructed.
• Maintain awareness of safety and accident prevention.
• Supervise training program development for EVS employees.
• Ensure day-to-day activities run smoothly and meet standards.
• Prepare ordering requisitions for EVS.
• Clean spills and biohazardous materials.
• Keep storage areas clean and carts stocked and tidy.
• Stock utility carts with cleaning supplies.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors as required.
• Promote the department’s services to staff and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The EVS Lead assures the highest possible level of guest satisfaction for the cleanliness of all guest areas, as well as the common (public) areas of the 1st-floor hotel lobby, gaming floor, lounges, restrooms on the gaming floor, offices, restaurants, parking lots, and any other areas of the property that deem it necessary, so that all health and cleanliness standards are met. #OakGrove

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directly supervise team members in the EVS Department
• Ensure EVS Attendants are performing duties as instructed
• Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention
• Supervise the development and implementation of the training program for all EVS employees
• Ensure the department’s day-to-day activities are running smoothly and according to standards
• Preparing ordering requisitions for EVS
• Cleaning spills and removing any biohazardous materials
• Keep storage areas clean and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
• Keep utility carts stocked with cleaning supplies
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
• Act as a department champion, promoting the department’s and company's services and functions to other employees, departments, vendors, applicants, and others who visit the department and property
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common documentation.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff.
• Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner
• Ability to quickly and accurately perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of duties.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a wide variety of instructions and deal with several variables.
• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
