Job summary

Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant is seeking an EVS Lead to oversee cleaning across patient care, administrative, and related areas within the Medical Facilities. The role focuses on maintaining sanitary conditions and supporting infection control in a large hospital environment.

The EVS Lead will perform cleaning tasks, prepare carts, manage linens, and respond to spills, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and patient safety. Excellent English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Must read, speak, and understand the English Language.
• Prior cleaning experience in an institution is desired, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas using prescribed methods.
• Prepare the Environmental Service carts for assigned area.
• Spot clean, dust, polish, sweep, mop floors, clean fixtures, showers, commodes, and miscellaneous cleaning in assigned areas including rooms for incoming patients.
• Remove soiled linens and change beds with clean linens.
• Assist in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request.
• Apply proper infection control practices and isolation techniques.
