Job summary

VIVO Healthcare University in Jacksonville, FL seeks a dedicated housekeeping assistant to perform daily housekeeping tasks in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, and directed by the Administrator and laundry director. You will maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment, manage linen supply, and follow cleaning instructions while communicating effectively in English.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and adherence to background screening

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions to follow instructions.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of laundry area for sanitation, order and safety.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
• Ensure facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner and linen supply meets residents' needs.
• Follow instructions provided by Administrator or director of laundry services.

The primary purpose of your job is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with current federal,state, and local standards,guidelines, and regulations govering our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and/or director of laundry services to ensure that our facility is maintained in a clean,safe, and sanitary manner and that an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents
